Korean Inspired Steak

I bought some beautiful thin cut ribeye steaks & wanted something more than the run-of -the-mill garlic/onion/ S&P mixture. So I whipped up a Korean inspired sauce, brushed it over the steaks & gave them a good fry.

Ingredients:
-3  Ribeye (thin cut with fat)
-Cooking oil such as lard or tallow
Sauce
-1/2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
-1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
-1Tsp Gochujang
-1/8 Tsp Red pepper flakes
-1/8 Tsp Ginger Powder
-1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
-1/2 Tsp Onion Powder

1. Mix ingredients for sauce together. Pat steaks dry with paper towels & brush sauce on  both sides of the steaks (I used a silicone basting brush), set aside.

2. Heat oil in frying pan to medium high heat. When pan is hot fry steaks 1 Minute 40 seconds for medium rare & 2 minutes for medium well. When cooked let steaks rest on cutting board for 5 minutes so they retain their juices. Slice & enjoy with some sauteed veggies.
